Mónica Reis is a researcher fellow in PolySyc group since 2021. She obtained is MSc in Chemical Engineering from University of Coimbra (2019). After the MSc, she collaborated in scientific and technological research activities in the area of Biorefinery, namely in the assessment of the potential of agro-food waste in the production of a biofuel (bioethanol). Subsequently her research, in PolySyc group, focused on the synthesis and characterization of new compatilizers for the development of recycled plastic films, and the production of biodegradable flexible films for food contact. Her current work focuses on the development of biodegradable foams for short-term applications.
