Ana Fonseca is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Coimbra. She obtained her degree in Chemical Engineering in 2007 and completed her PhD at the same institution in 2013. Her research focuses on the development of biobased polymeric materials for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications. She is also dedicated to advancing sustainable materials for commodity applications, particularly in the packaging industry. Additionally, she works on transforming post-consumer plastic residues into new value-added materials, contributing to circular economy initiatives.
